About Me: Greetings. I am Dr. Maram Mahmoud Ahmad Monshi (مرام محمود أحمد منشي), an Assistant Professor at the College of Computers and Information Technology, Taif University, Saudi Arabia. My academic journey includes earning a PhD from the School of Computer Science at the University of Sydney, Australia, currently ranked #=19 in the QS World University Rankings for 2024. My dissertation, titled “Deep Learning in Chest Radiography: From Report Labeling to Image Classification,” explores innovative applications of deep learning techniques in medical diagnostics. Prior to this, I completed my Master of Information Technology (M.IT) degree in 2012 at the University of Canberra, Australia, following a Bachelor of Information Technology (B.IT) degree in 2008 from the University of Newcastle, Australia.
Research Interests: My research focuses on deep learning, medical image analysis, and natural language generation, driven by a transformative doctoral journey that honed my critical thinking and research skills. I aim to further my expertise in these areas to develop innovative solutions that improve radiological image interpretation’s efficiency and accuracy. Ultimately, my goal is to enhance diagnostic outcomes for radiologists and provide essential support to underserved communities worldwide.
